The aim is not to make vinyl sound like a sterile CD, but to remove the distracting debris and make the music more pleasant to listen to.
If an old family video is already available as a digital video file, the sound can often be improved separately. The typical problems are a dull sound, heavy noise, quiet voices and unclear speech. I can work on the audio track and give it back to you as an improved audio file, or embedded in the video again by arrangement. I do not digitise VHS cassettes themselves.

From a 60 minute file only the best family moments can be cut out, and from a long cassette transfer only the most moving passages of speech. If you are coming from Leipzig or the surrounding area, an appointment in person can make sense. You can bring the file, which must already be digital, on a storage device or send it in advance by cloud link. I listen through the recording together with you and judge what is realistically possible. I do not digitise analogue originals.
Please do not send records, cassettes, tapes or VHS cassettes by post. I do not offer digitising of analogue media and do not have the playback equipment for it at the studio. For the restoration I only need a file that is already digitised. That is safer, faster and easier to plan.
For smartphone recordings, MP3 files from old hard drives, WAV files, M4A files or recordings that are already digitised, a cloud upload is enough. WeTransfer, a Dropbox link, Google Drive or similar services all work well. That way I can start the restoration straight away, with no analogue step in between.
From Connewitz, Südvorstadt, Schleußig, Plagwitz, Markkleeberg, Halle or further around Leipzig, an appointment in person is often pleasant if you want to talk the recording through together. You can still send the file digitally in advance or bring it on a USB stick. If you combine it with a studio session you were planning anyway, there is no extra journey.
