Home recordings often sound like home. Until they are mixed properly.
Modern DAWs such as Logic, Ableton, FL Studio and Pro Tools make it easy to record at home. Microphones have improved, plugins offer plenty of options and tutorials explain almost every step. Even so, the result often does not sound like the songs you use as references. What is usually missing is not one particular plugin but the view of the whole: balance, frequencies, dynamics, space, depth, energy and musical decisions.
I offer mixing at Tonstudio Leipzig as a service in its own right. That is ideal when you already have your recordings and want the mix handled professionally. You bring your separate tracks as WAV files or your complete DAW project . It suits home recordings, multitrack recordings from a rehearsal room, beats with vocals, singer songwriter songs and acoustic productions. You get back a mix that works like a finished song rather than an open project folder.
You can choose between two ways of working. On site in Leipzig I mix together with you: you sit at the desk, give feedback while the mix takes shape, hear different versions and help decide on effects, mood and direction. That works especially well if you have clear ideas and want to shape the result directly. Or remote, anywhere in Germany: you send me your tracks securely through a cloud service, I mix in concentration, you listen to the first version in your own time and give me feedback for the revisions. The file exchange runs over servers in Germany, not over an anonymous upload platform.
