Recording at home is easy today. Even so, the result often does not sound like the songs you use as references. What is usually missing is not one plugin but the view of the whole: balance, frequencies, dynamics, space and depth.
I offer mixing as a service in its own right. You bring your separate tracks as WAV files or your complete DAW project, whether it is a home recording, a band recording, a beat with vocals or an acoustic song. You get back a mix that sounds like a finished song.
You choose between two ways of working. On site in Leipzig: you sit at the desk and give feedback directly. Good if you have clear ideas. Or remote, anywhere in Germany: you send me your tracks securely, I mix in concentration, you listen to the first version and give feedback. The file exchange runs over secure servers in Germany.

You record at home, for example in Logic, Ableton or Cubase. Your setup works, but the sound does not feel finished. I clear up frequencies, bring everything into balance and give the song more depth and punch. Your recording stops sounding like a demo and starts sounding like a finished song.
You have multitrack recordings from a rehearsal room. Drums, bass, guitars, keys and vocals are all on separate tracks, but the final mix is missing. I bring the tracks together so the band sounds like one unit.
You have a beat and vocals ready, but the mix is not sitting yet. The vocals do not stand steady on the beat, the 808 and the kick fight each other. I bring beat, voice and effects together so the track hits and stays clear.
You have recorded voice, acoustic guitar, piano or another instrument. The recording has feeling but not the final polish. I treat voice and instrument so the song feels warmer and clearer, without sounding artificial.
Classical, folk and world music need a different approach than pop or hip hop. Often the point is not to make everything loud, but to keep the room and the dynamics. The natural character stays, the sound becomes cleaner and clearer.
You do not live in Leipzig and still need professional mixing. Then your project runs remotely. You upload your tracks securely, I mix in the studio, you send feedback by email or call. Just as good as on site, only without the journey.

Deliver all separate tracks as WAV files in 24 bit, at 48 kHz or 44.1 kHz. Every track should start at the same point, for example bar 1. Please avoid MP3 tracks and unclear file names.
Best without reverb, delay or printed compression. That gives me more freedom in the mix. If pitch correction or sound design matters, send a dry version too.
One to three reference tracks help show the direction. Not necessarily your favourite songs, just something with the right mood: warm, modern, dry or spacious.
Describe briefly where it should go: pop with punch, hip hop with clear vocals, acoustic with warmth or electronic with sound design. The clearer the direction, the more precisely I can work.
On site: USB stick, external drive or cloud link. Remote: you get a secure upload link after your inquiry. Please avoid open public shares.
For a single song allow two to four weeks including revisions. For EPs usually four to eight weeks, for albums several months. With a fixed release date, please ask early.
Four steps take you from your inquiry to the finished premaster file.
You write briefly: genre, number of tracks, the character you want, one to three reference tracks, delivery date and on site or remote. The clearer, the faster I know which package fits.
You deliver your material by cloud link or on site. I check technical quality and completeness and clear up any questions. Only then does the mix start.
Remote, I mix in the studio and send you the first version by cloud link, you give feedback. On site, you work at the desk with me and decide during the session.
After the revisions you get the final WAV premaster file by cloud link, ready for mastering or release. On request also stems or other export formats.
You can have your mix done on site in Leipzig or remotely.
The studio is at Bernhard-Göring-Straße 17, 04107 Leipzig, in Zentrum-Süd, within walking distance of the Karli. Parking in the courtyard is possible, the entrance is on the ground floor.
Remote mixing works very well. You upload your tracks securely, I mix in the studio, feedback runs by email, phone or video call.
Your raw tracks are not shared publicly and not analysed on third party platforms. I work with secure upload routes and treat your material confidentially.
For projects on site you can be there for the creative mix: in the studio, hearing different versions and deciding as we go. Ideal if you know musically where you want to go.
Leipzig is easy to reach from Berlin, Dresden, Halle or Erfurt, several sessions in one weekend are possible. From further out, remote is usually more relaxed.
Mix appointments are possible on weekdays and weekends. For a creative mix on site I usually plan blocks of three to five hours.

Both routes work: A creative mix together, you sit at the desk and give feedback live, good when you have clear ideas. Or a concentrated mix in the background, you send the tracks, I mix alone and you give feedback for the revisions. That is the standard route.
Primarily digitally in the DAW with high quality plugins, plus analogue hardware tools where it helps. For pop, hip hop and electronic productions the digital mix is the standard.

Both work very well. About half of all projects run remotely with secure file exchange, the other half on site in Leipzig. You decide, depending on the project and where you live.

Yes, on request. Typical stem groups are drums, bass, vocals and effects, useful for live versions, remixes, sync submissions or karaoke. Simply mention it when you book.
Possible too, with limitations. A stereo recording can be improved in sound, for example with EQ and dynamics, but single instruments can no longer be treated separately. Describe what you have when you get in touch, then you get an honest assessment.
