Step by step

Your preparation, clearly explained

Go through the points once before your appointment. Then you know what to expect and can arrive relaxed.

  • Plan your arrival with enough buffer, whether you come by car, train or bus
  • Please arrive on time or no more than 5 minutes early
  • Arriving much too early can lead to waiting time because I may still be preparing the room
  • If you are delayed, please contact me briefly by WhatsApp or phone
Why this matters: every minute of your booked studio time belongs to you. Being on time helps you use that time well.
Small note: arriving, setting up briefly and clarifying the first details are naturally part of the session. If you arrive prepared, you need less starting time and get into the flow faster.

If available, please provide the following in advance through a cloud link:

  • Instrumentals or playbacks as MP3 or WAV
  • Lyrics, notes or ideas
  • References for sound or style
  • Existing recordings or individual tracks
How and where should I upload?
  • Use a cloud platform such as Google Drive, WeTransfer or pCloud
  • Alternatively by email with your full name and invoice number
Check files briefly before uploading
  • Play the files and check that audio is present and complete
  • Name files clearly so I can assign them immediately
  • Check that the export is correct, not silent and in the right format
A little file care saves real studio time. If broken files are only noticed in the studio, valuable recording time is lost.
For security reasons, I do not accept external storage media on site. No USB sticks and no hard drives.

  • Lyrics printed or saved on your smartphone. Lyrics are not provided by the studio
  • Sheet music, chord sheets or other documents
  • Your own instrument, if relevant for the session
  • If you bring your own laptop, please also bring the charger and test the software beforehand
The less you need to search for or improvise in the studio, the more time remains for what really matters: your recording.

  • Rest your voice before the appointment and avoid speaking or singing too much
  • Drink enough still water, preferably already in the morning
  • Avoid strong strain such as alcohol, smoking or loud environments
  • For longer sessions, feel free to bring something to eat. Snacks, fruit or small meals are welcome
Small effort, big difference: a well prepared voice sounds better, gets tired more slowly and usually needs fewer takes. That saves studio time directly.
Please come to the studio sober. Alcohol, drugs and other intoxicating substances are not allowed in the studio. This keeps the atmosphere pleasant, focused and safe for everyone.
Coffee, tea and water are available in the studio. I can also warm something up if needed.

  • Think realistically in advance about what can be done in the time you booked
  • Set priorities. What definitely needs to happen, and what would be a bonus?
  • If you are unsure about the scope, contact me briefly before the session
Orientation: for a 3 hour appointment, 2 to 4 songs can be realistic, depending on complexity and preparation. Good preparation can make the difference between recording 1 song or several songs.
At the beginning of the session, I briefly discuss the plan with you and align everything. This conversation is part of the session and is already taken into account.

  • For recordings and sessions, accompanying persons are generally possible, but please announce them in advance
  • For the best possible recording quality, I prefer a calm and focused atmosphere with as few people present as possible
  • From experience, it is often better to come to the recording alone
  • If you feel more comfortable with someone you trust, that is possible
  • Additional accompanying persons are often better suited for a later listening or feedback moment
  • For minors, the presence or written consent of a legal guardian is required
This keeps the atmosphere calm, focused and pleasant. It usually leads to better takes, less distraction and a stronger result in less time.
For training sessions and workshops, the booking is per person. An additional person means an additional booking. Please talk to me beforehand so I can find the right solution for your plan.
For an initial consultation, accompanying persons such as family or friends are welcome.

  • Cancellation or rescheduling is possible up to 24 hours before the appointment
  • Please contact me by WhatsApp or message. A short note is enough
  • If you are ill, contact me as early as possible. I look for a fair solution
The appointment is reserved exclusively for you. Free cancellation or rescheduling is possible up to 24 hours before the appointment starts. For short notice cancellations or no shows, a reasonable cancellation fee may apply. Additional details can be found in the Terms.
