That is exactly what music production is for. I take your idea seriously and build a complete song from it step by step, with arrangement, recording, mix and mastering.
With Music recordings and instrumental recordings you record what you can already play: rehearsed material, prepared pieces, clear arrangements. With live recordings you capture the improvised moment. Music production is something else: it is about the transformation of an idea into a complete song. You do not have to be able to do it all yourself. You do not have to play every instrument, programme beats, understand layering or master mixing techniques. You only need the idea, and I build the rest with you.
Production here is independent of genre. For pop productions I develop a complete pop track out of your sketch, with programmed drums, bass, synth pads, your recorded vocals, layering and a modern mix. For hip hop and rap productions I build the beat from the ground up or refine a beat you bring. Then I record your vocals track by track, work with doubles and ad libs, and mix everything to suit the hip hop sound. For electronic productions I programme drum patterns, bass lines, lead synths, atmospheric pads and sound design elements. For singer songwriter productions everything often starts with your acoustic recording, guitar or piano plus voice, and is then enriched with further tracks: strings, background vocals, restrained drums, bass, atmospheric elements. For full acoustic productions I work with live instruments, layering and an organic sound. For hybrid productions I combine acoustic recordings with programmed elements wherever that makes musical sense.
One point deserves to be clear, about drums: I can add drum tracks, programmed and sample based with the right sounds. That works very well for pop, hip hop, rap, singer songwriter material and electronic music. Live recorded drums are not something I offer here. If you need real live drums, they can be recorded separately in a studio built for that and then brought into the production.

You make hip hop, rap or trap and you need beat production alongside the vocal recording. I can develop a beat you bring further or build a new one with you. Then I record your vocals and work with takes, doubles, ad libs, effects and the mix, so that voice and beat work together.
You make electronic music: house, ambient, synthwave, lo fi, downtempo or another direction. I develop drum patterns, bass lines, synths, pads, textures and sound design to suit your idea. Not from ready made templates, but as a sound that fits your project.
For acoustic worlds such as folk, acoustic pop, quiet indie or crossover I work with layers of live instruments and supporting sounds. Piano, guitar, strings, flutes, small percussion or atmospheric beds can all make sense depending on the song. Everything is used so that the music never feels overloaded.

The most popular option. Three to five songs are produced as one project, usually with a consistent sound, a shared release direction and a thematic thread. An EP is a good step if you want to release more than one single but do not need a full album yet. The first consultation is the recommended way in here.
From about eight songs upwards this becomes a long term project across several months. Every song gets its own attention, while I make sure that a coherent artistic work comes out at the end. An album project requires a paid first consultation, so that scope, sound, budget and schedule can be planned realistically.
In every production I can programme drum tracks and add sample based parts. That ranges from restrained drum accents in singer songwriter productions through hip hop beats with 808 bass to electronic drum patterns. Live recorded drums are not something I offer. If you want real drums, they can be recorded elsewhere and brought into the production afterwards.
For genres with a very specific sound, a classical string quartet, a jazz line up, particular folk instruments or world music elements, suitable session musicians can be arranged. I discuss that honestly and realistically in the first consultation.
I can also use sounds of your own as a starting point: noises from where you live, small instrument recordings, fragments of voice, particular sound ideas. Those sounds can be edited, cut and built into your production. The result is an individual sound rather than a standard loop.
A lot of productions work from fixed templates. I want to avoid your song simply sounding like a blueprint. What matters more to me is that your material, your voice, your idea and your references are taken seriously.
Template productions often sound like what a genre supposedly has to sound like. Here the production starts with your material. I listen to what you bring, which music inspires you and what mood you want to reach. Out of that comes a sound that suits you, rather than a copy of an existing blueprint.

In the first consultation, or before you book in the shop, we settle the genre direction, reference tracks, mood, song structure, instrumentation and stylistic preferences. You share your starting material: voice memos, demos, lyrics or home recordings. From that I develop first suggestions for the production.
Depending on scope, the production itself is spread over several studio sessions. First comes the beat, the arrangement or the basic structure. Then follow recordings, layering, sound design, editing and the mix. At every step you get personal guidance and enough time for decisions.
Once the mix is finished, mastering follows as the final step towards release. You get your finished songs as WAV files by cloud link. On larger projects it can make sense to hand over intermediate stages and completed phases separately.

The studio is at Bernhard Göring Straße 17, 04107 Leipzig, in the middle of Zentrum-Süd. Parking in the courtyard is possible and the entrance is on the ground floor. Getting here by tram or city train works well from anywhere in Leipzig.
Music productions are often longer projects. Single tracks take shape over several weeks, EPs over several months, albums over a longer period. Regular appointments with breaks in between help the production mature.
The studio is built for music production: a studio piano, professional microphones for vocals and instruments, DAWs such as Logic and Ableton, sample libraries, synthesizers and production tools. You do not need to bring any equipment of your own.
If you want to play guitar, piano or another instrument yourself, bring it along. If you have your own beats, sketches or demos from your DAW, you can prepare those too. If you have recorded vocals at home, I gladly use them as a reference and record the final vocals cleanly in the studio where needed.
The studio is easy to reach from Connewitz, Südvorstadt, Schleußig, Plagwitz, Markkleeberg, Halle and the wider Leipzig region. If you travel in from further away, it can make sense to combine several production days.
