Studio quality should not depend on your budget.
School, studies, an apprenticeship, a volunteer service, or the Leipzig-Pass: you often have the music but not the budget for a regular studio session. That's what the discount is for: 60 instead of 70 euros per hour, at the usual minimum duration of 3 hours that means 180 instead of 210 euros.
The discount applies to the recording session, the entry point into a studio recording. It's meant to open the studio to more young creatives.
Who qualifies
Five groups, one simple proof.
Each of the five groups is sufficient on its own, no need to meet several criteria at once. All that's needed is valid proof at the appointment.
Students
Student ID or current enrolment certificate, any university or field of study counts.
Apprentices
Apprenticeship proof, for example a chamber of commerce (IHK) card or training contract, regardless of the trade.
FSJ and BFD volunteers
ID or contract confirmation from the organisation, for a voluntary social year or federal volunteer service.
Leipzig-Pass holders
Valid Leipzig-Pass issued by the city, for example for Bürgergeld, social welfare, housing benefit or basic security. The city has already checked eligibility, showing the pass is enough here.
Price
One fixed hourly rate, no percentage maths.
So the benefit is clear at a glance: a concrete, reduced hourly rate instead of a percentage discount.

60€ per hour instead of 70€
At the usual minimum duration of 3 hours that's 180€ instead of 210€, a saving of 30€. For longer sessions the discount adds up accordingly.
What the discount does not cover
Mixing, mastering, recording complete packages, EP and album projects, and all other services run at regular rates. Anyone who wants mixing and mastering added after the recording session books that separately at full price.

Show your ID or Leipzig-Pass briefly at the start of the appointment, then the session runs completely normally, at the discounted hourly rate.
