Price & packages

Three clear paths, from a single session to a full project.

If you are unsure which path fits, just ask briefly by email or WhatsApp, you get an honest, quick recommendation with no sales pressure.

Recording session, from €210

Pure recording, at least 3 hours

The lean path: ask briefly, agree a date, record. You get your tracks as WAV files, for your own mixing or a mix engineer of your choice.

Larger project, from €550

EP, album or several sessions

For several songs, a paid first consultation in the studio is worthwhile: clarify the number of sessions, order and the overall vision together, then get a tailored offer.

Booking mix and mastering afterwards

If you booked only a recording session at first and later decide you want mix and mastering too, you can add it any time, separately in the shop or as a complete package with a later inquiry.

Equipment

Three building blocks every recording session at Tonstudio Leipzig shares.

Whatever you record, these three factors stay equally high quality for every recording session.

Studio microphones and signal chain

Several high quality studio microphones, including Neumann, a clean signal chain right into the computer, and an acoustically treated recording room without unwanted noise.

Personal guidance at the desk

No anonymous studio routine: I guide every session personally, with experience from more than 230 projects, a calm atmosphere and time for several takes.

A direct path to mixing and mastering

Recording, mixing and mastering from one place, in the same studio, with the same point of contact. No format or sound break between the steps.

Preparation

Six points that make your recording session better.

Good preparation is the difference between a rushed first session and a relaxed, productive studio day.

1
Material ready

Is your song or text really finished?

Studio time is not the place for songwriting experiments. Songs, lyrics or parts should be settled and rehearsed before the recording.

2
Recording type

Which recording type fits your project?

Vocals, band, rap, instrumental or voice, let me know briefly beforehand what you want to record, then I prepare the session accordingly.

3
Check instruments

Are your instruments in good condition?

Guitar with fresh strings, strings well maintained, your own electronics tested. If you record with the studio piano, that is already taken care of.

4
Voice or condition

Are you feeling good on recording day?

An early night before, enough water, for vocals and rap no hoarseness. If you are unwell, it is usually better to reschedule in good time.

5
Share demos

Do you have home recordings or demos to preview?

Existing recordings or rehearsal room takes are welcome in advance by cloud link, that saves valuable studio time on the day.

6
Clarify the goal

What is supposed to happen with the recording?

Streaming, an application, an archive or a personal keepsake, the goal shapes the recording decisions and should be clear beforehand.

How a session runs

How your recording session runs in practice.

Four structured steps from the first inquiry to the finished recording.

01

Inquiry & scheduling

A short inquiry by email or WhatsApp with your preferred date and recording type. For larger projects, a paid first consultation in the studio is recommended beforehand.

02

Arriving & setting up

A short introduction to the studio, a technical check, and for vocals a calm warm up. Your own instruments are connected and tested.

03

Recording in the studio

Several takes with short breaks in between, live together or layered track by track, depending on the project. Time for retakes is always built in.

04

Delivery of your recording

With a pure recording session: finished tracks as WAV files by cloud link. With a booked complete package: a finished, mixed and mastered song a few days later.

Where and when

Recording at Tonstudio Leipzig in Zentrum-Süd, flexible scheduling for your session.

Six important points about the studio address, scheduling options and getting here.

Studio address

Bernhard-Göring-Straße 17 in Zentrum-Süd

Bernhard-Göring-Straße 17, 04107 Leipzig, right in the middle of Zentrum-Süd, walking distance to the Karli. Parking in the courtyard, low barrier access on the ground floor.

Flexible hours

Weekdays and weekends possible

Recording sessions are possible on weekdays and weekends. For several songs, regular appointments spread across several weeks work well.

Several sessions

Several dates for larger projects

For EPs and albums, several appointments spread across weeks are often worthwhile, with room to reflect between sessions.

On site at the studio

You come to the studio for the recording

Unlike piano tuning, the audio engineer does not come to you, you come to the studio. Bring your own instruments, except for piano, which is already there.

Getting here

Easy to reach from Leipzig and the surrounding area

Easy to reach from Leipzig, Halle, Markkleeberg and the surrounding area. For a longer journey, several studio days in a row are often worthwhile instead of single appointments.

First consultation before larger projects

Before larger EP or album projects, you can book a paid first consultation to get to know the studio and process beforehand.

Frequent questions

Questions about the recording session at Tonstudio Leipzig.

The most important answers before you inquire about a recording. For short questions, reach me by email or WhatsApp.

The recording session is the central recording booking at Tonstudio Leipzig: at least three hours of studio time, personally guided, for vocals, band, instrument, rap or voice.

It is the foundation every specialised recording type builds on. At the end you get your tracks, either raw to take home or finished with mix and mastering.

The recording session starts at 210 euros for at least three hours of studio time.

The exact price depends on duration, project scope and whether mix and mastering are booked alongside it. Pupils, students, apprentices, people in a voluntary service year and Leipzig-Pass holders pay 60 instead of 70 euros per hour.

Vocals, rap, band and instrumental recordings, voice recordings for podcasts or personal projects, and live recordings.

Each recording type also has its own specialised service page, the recording session itself is the shared starting point for all of them.

At least three hours, which is enough for a single song with several takes.

For two to three songs or multi-part recordings, five to six hours works well. For an EP or an album, several sessions are planned across several weeks.

Both are possible. With a pure recording session you get the recorded tracks as WAV files, for your own mixing or a mix engineer of your choice.

If mix and mastering are booked directly alongside it, you get a finished, release ready song at the end.

Yes, very much so. Most clients at Tonstudio Leipzig have never been in a professional studio before.

The session starts with a calm settling in period, a technical check and, for vocals, a short warm up. No judgement, no rush, just time for your recording.

Several high quality studio microphones, including Neumann, an acoustically treated recording room, a studio piano and a complete recording chain.

You can bring your own instruments, except for piano, which is already in the studio.

The recording session is the first step: actually capturing the voice, instrument or band in the studio.

Mixing then brings the tracks into balance, mastering is the final polish before release. All three steps can be booked separately or as a complete package.

Your songs should be musically finished, with rehearsed parts and a clear key.

Bring your own instruments in good, tuned condition, and for vocals bring enough water. Demos are welcome in advance by cloud link, which saves studio time.

For a simple recording session, a short inquiry by email or WhatsApp with your preferred date and a project description is enough.

For larger projects like an EP or an album, a paid first consultation in the studio is worthwhile.

This page is written for private clients, hobby musicians and indie artists.

For companies, agencies and productions with a record deal or a publisher, there is the separate business site of Tonstudio Leipzig with its own contract and fee structure.
